June 21-A Day of Music
Make Music New Jersey (MMNJ) offers all native and newcomer residents of the Garden State the opportunity to add a chorus to the rich musical history of New Jersey. On Friday June 21, 2013 MMNJ encourages New Jerseyans to celebrate Summer Solstice, the longest day of the year, with song.
rappers, unamplified instruments of all types, singers, percussionists and experimental musicians to join in as we showcase the wealth of talent and ingenuity that makes up the heart of New Jersey’s melting pot community. Make Music New Jersey follows in the footsteps of MMNY, the nation’s largest single-day free music festival, by inviting the entire state to take to the streets to create and perform. MMNJ is open to all: professionals, amateurs, children, adults, choirs, soloists… anyone with an ear for music is welcome to join and anyone who loves music will want to attend. Performances will take place from 5:00pm to 9:00pm across New Jersey in community centers, restaurants, back yards, front stoops, libraries, local businesses, parks, patios and auditoriums.
